The Mountain Thief Movie Summary
“The Mountain Thief” is set in the town of Promised Land and Urban, Payatas in the Philippines on a garbage collecting heap. The characters in this movie must overcome amazing obstacles in order to survive while keeping the ties of family strong. For many Canadian-Filipino’s, this is a reality that is all too distant and unimaginable. Director, Gerry Balasta, in attendance. The film is be preceded by 2 shorts, “Sikat” and “Pasalubong”.
