MAP Vancouver is a free educational program for young immigrants between the ages of 15 and 25 years, who live in Vancouver, and have been in Canada for less than 5 years. Students study part time at Vancouver Community College for twelve weeks, where they study English, music, and life-skills. Students all receive individualized one-on-one support to help them to find a job and access further educational programs. While in the program, students receive a bi-weekly allowance, as well as a monthly bus pass.
